Increase carbon emissions, burn coal

Carbon Emissions are Good for the Environment

Listen to this article

Leftist environmentalists will have you believe that carbon is the devil. Indeed, the environmentalist gaia cult can be described as a religion where the white man and his industry are the devils, especially that pesky carbon. However, a quick read through Biology 101 is enough to disabuse us of such notions. Carbon, as we hope you learned in high school, is the basis for all organic chemistry and all life. Environmentalists would love to end carbon emissions because of the so-called greenhouse effect, but what if carbon emissions were the key to saving the planet?

understand photosynthesis to understand carbon emissions
I’m not the only one who remembers this from high school biology, right?

In order to discuss carbon, we need to discuss fossil fuels. Fossil fuels were primarily made in the carboniferous period when the dominant life forms on earth were plants. Plants, as we ought to know from Biology 101 trap the sun’s light energy through photosynthesis and thus transform it into readily consumable chemical energy. This process requires carbon and indeed, binds carbon into the plants themselves as cellulose. As bacteria cannot effectively break down cellulose, this plant life is swallowed up by the earth through plate tectonics and over time and subjected to enormous pressure and heat is transformed into coal and oil. This, however, has the unfortunate effect of removing carbon from the atmosphere and thus reducing the amount of photosynthesis that can happen and the carrying capacity of the planet for plant and therefore animal (including human) life.

Currently, the earth is in a period of lowered carbon concentration in the atmosphere, although this trend has been somewhat reversed by human activity, leading to a greening of the Earth. As humans burn fossil fuels, we release carbon which had been hitherto trapped as coal and oil by the geological processes into the atmospheres, where plants can then use it for photosynthesis and create more sugars, i. e. trap more of the sun’s light energy in chemical energy deposits usable by living creatures.

carbon emissions lead to greening
The Earth is greening, rather than browning.

Should the decline of CO2 continue unabated, life will regress to simpler forms, like that of the pre-Cambrian era. Everything will grind to a halt on geologic timescale. Carbon is life, trapping carbon reduces potential life. Coal deposits remaining trapped underground means less life that can exist. We have an abundance of fossil fuels in the first place because there was nothing to consume all of the plant material 350 million years ago, accidentally locking away carbon from the cycle of life. So-called environmentalists want to permanently get rid of carbon instead of binding it to life as it’s supposed to be.

Unabated, the silicate cycle will deplete carbon, and life will probably die due to lack of CO2. If we burn all the fossil fuels we may extend life by a couple hundred million years. More CO2, higher rate of solar conversion to carbohydrates, more carbohydrates, more plant life and more free energy for all higher forms of life to eat. The less carbon, the more effort is needed to collect CO2 for photosynthesis. Plant life growth tends to be limited by carbohydrate collection, which is sequestering carbon in cellulose lowering availability of carbon for life.

Earth’s warming cycle is going to happen no matter what we do as it always has. Burning fossil fuels pales in comparison to the macro warming trend. Burning CO2 increases plant growth locking carbon in living things. All we need to do is refrain fromclear-cutting the forests and polluting the seas. Burning right now just extends possible max duration of life on the planet. Without humanity it would have never been fixed. The running theory is that when cellulose was evolved, there was no bacteria that could break it down. Plant growth exploded until they were starved of CO2. Dead trees laid around unable to be broken down, got buried in the sands of time and became coal.

Just like when you eat life you turn complex carbohydrates into energy and CO2, freed carbon is active life cycle carbon. Grow more active life to reduce it again. Plants bring it back into a solid usable form for life. Carbon capture technology just wastes energy to reduce life potential. Trapping carbon quite literally reduces capacity for life on the planet. The reason CO2 is so low despite the amount produced from all life and processes is because plants snap it back up and turn it into sugars or other organic substances, then animals eat it exchanging where it is. Then they exhale carbon dioxide which eventually becomes sugar again.

Ultimately, fossil fuels are just carbon that got lost. Unavailable for use to be processed by life. Remember that this planet is a miracle of carbon based life. Left-wing environmentalists try to control life’s processes, but the way forward is to steward nature, rather than control it directly. In the future, we will look into different ways that men of vision can direct the environment for the benefit of all living creatures on the planet.
